Just a quick note on travelling with your pet

First off, I will be taking my dachshund with me to Edinburgh and I have been researching what I have to do in order to get him prepared for the long haul overseas. Here is a website for those of you that are considering transporting your pet:

This website provides all information needed in order to complete the steps necessary to travel overseas. This website provides health certificates that you are able to print and fill out and also offers helpful pet travel links.

Research Underway

So I spent most of today researching what I will need to do over in Edinburgh when I get there. First off, I wanted to find out whether or not Sprint had service in Edinburgh. After a long hour of talking on the phone with a representative, I discovered that they did indeed have service (at $1.29 per minute for international calling). I then asked what the cost was to call someone in the UK and guess what? It was STILL $1.29 per minute! All I was looking for was a phone for emergency calls only. I spoke with a friend today that had given me some information on pay-as-you-go cell phones. I found a cell phone store in Edinburgh that I will visit when I arrive. The Nokia 6500 cell phone is pretty nice and it also comes with a free photo frame! Wow, out of all the things I wanted in this world! A photo frame! Anyway, they offer prepaid phone cards for that phone and there is no monthly commitment, which is awesome. I also found out that there is a COSTCO in Edinburgh, good, since I have a membership. I will be stocking up on food when I get there. Now I have to work on finding a house in Edinburgh, hopefully I will find one soon since the date is getting close. More to come on the countdown to Edinburgh.
